Aussie Christmas.....

This year we had a particularly aussie Christmas. We spent the night before Christmas at the Opera House, watching a brilliant Opera show. Santa Clause even came, and the Australian Childrens Opera Choir..We were allowed to sing along to all the Christmas Carols, and had a fantastic time! I went crazy with my new camera, taking pictures whenever possible-I even took pictures of the bathroom because it was SO amazing!!!!!!!!!!! When the first Opera solo was sung, William, Tom and I found it really funny....But after that, I started to realise how beautiful Opera actually is, I now LOVE it, although I think William and Tom still find it hilarious! I was really sad to go back home when it was done, becasue it was such a wonderful experience, but then I remembered that Santa would be visiting, and quickly cheered up!

We spent Christmas day opening presents, eating delicous special food, playing with our presents, giving our presents and having fun at the beach. William and I went on our boogie boards, and got dunked a few times, and Tom paddled with Daddy and built sandcastles, while Mummy watched and sun bathed. We had a brilliant Christmas, and got such AWESOME things!
When we got back from the beach, it was so hot that us kids played on Tom's slip n slide, and had heaps of fun!....and then after that we all played on the Wii downstairs.

Overall it was a awesome Christmas, in fact the best one ever for me! I hope you all had as good a Christmas as us.

I had a brilliant birthday yesterday and got so many wonderful presents including a blue camera, stationary, writing paper, a phone case and holders, books, DVDs, canvases, key rings, clothes, things to make and do, photo frames, head bands, a china doll and so much more! Thank you so much everyone!!!

We went to tree tops adventure park, and it was SO much fun!!! Because it was so hot when we got home we had a water bomb fight which was also really fun! Then two of my friends slept over and they're still sleeping.

Overall it was such an awesome day, and I loved every second of it.

I will try to send pictures of my birthday soon, but we haven't uploaded them to the computer yet.

How exciting?!?
I went with my friend Jess, her family and mummy. I met George, Matt , Gary (the judges),
Julie (last years winner), Adam (this years winner), Anna Gare (one of the junior masterchef
judges), Courtney, Alvin, Jimmy and Marion (all contestents).

There was also some other famous chefs, like Donna Hay.
We got to get photos taken with everyone AND got there autographs!!!
We made so dips and some of whcih tasted discusting, but was very fun to make all the same.

.....AND we also got to eat heaps of yummy free sample foods!

Once we had had a bit of a wander, we watched the show, where people from the audience got to
go up and participate in competitions and demonstrations. George, Matt and Gary were very
funny and they didn't even have a script!!!

Then we went to the beach for a while afterwards because it was such a hot day, and it was non-
stop laughs the whole way through. Jess and I just couldn't stop laughing!

Altogether it was an awesome day and was one of the highlights of my life!

Guides Camp

Hello!!!
On the weekend I went on a camp with guides and it was AWESOME!!!
Some of the things we did were:
-Rock climbing (then abseiling back down)
-Riding a 50 METRES waterslide! :)
-Caving (in some parts we had to crawl through muddy water) saw lots of spiders and lizards in there
-Making scones
-Having a campfire
-Learning about first aid (involving fake blood!)
AND SO MUCH MORE!!!

I would just like to thank my parents for letting me go there, you are the best!

Sydney Aquarium

HELLO!!!

Since mummy is away, my kind dad took us to Sydney Aquarium. It was AWESOME!!!
We went in glass tunnels and sharks, giant stingrays, a dugong and lots of fish swam around us. We also saw:

-Long necked turtles
-Beautiful moon jellyfish
-Starfish
-An Octopus
-Fairy Penguins
-Seahorses and sea dragons
-Lots of fish

AND SO MUCH MORE!!!

It was the best experience ever and I totally recommend it! A shark even swam under me! You can be face to face with a shark-and be in no danger at all!

Thank you Daddy for such a great experience in the city...

WE WENT TO FIJI!!! :-)

It was awesome, best holiday AND experience EVER!!!
Mini notes on the number 1 holiday... :
-WENT SNORKELING!!!
-EVERYONE made friends
-Did HEAPS of swimming
-Went kayaking
-Went hand-line fishing-didn't catch anything!
-Had absolute bliss
-Received beautiful shell necklaces from Fijians...
-Had lots of bouffe's (YUM!)
-Sooo much ice cream!
-Got a tie-die t-shirt
-Learnt lots of language...
-AND wonderful souvenirs
-as well as hair braiding

Us Kids did kids club-Tom:
-Had an ice cream eating comp
-Had a disco
-Had a sand-castle comp
-Had a colouring comp
-Had a treasure hunt

Will and I:
-Did boogie board races-both came 2nd in ours!
-Hand-line fishing
-snorkeling
-Kayaking while doing a fishing comp
-Treasure Hunt
-Table tennis
And many more!

While we were snorkeling I saw MANY interesting things:
-A rainbow coloured fish
-A black sea urchin
-Many tiny fish
-Sea snakes
-Blue starfishes
-A poisonous fish
-Some sea slugs

And what I have told you is only a tiny little bit about our fantastic holiday-and if you want to find out EVEN more than visit familyfundownunder!!!

We also caught frogs!

Beach and Masterchef Comp

Yesterday my family and I had a wonderful day. While Tom was at a birthday party, the rest of us went to the beach and had brunch. The beach was SO lovely and sunny!

I could barely sleep the night before, I was so excited, because my friend and I had organised a masterchef competition between our two families, boys vs girls!!!

The Mums were the judges, with my friends Gran. My Friend (Jess), her sister (Mel) and I were all on the same team. We were versing William, Tom and the Dads. There was a wide range of prizes to chose from.

The boys won:
-The Sausage Rolls
-The Salad

We won:
-The Dessert
-The Pies

My friend Jess made the best salad dressing I had EVER tasted, it was SO delicious! Mel and I did the pies together in little triangles, I shaped and cutted them, and she literally slapped the egg stuff on!!! What a mess!

It was an EXTREMELY fun day!!!

GO SWANS!!!

As I'm sure you already know, Daddy took Willaim and I to see the Sydney Swans play AFL, and althogough they lost, we had SO much fun!!!

We ate a lot...
William: Daddy: Me:

It was the BEST night I've EVER had, and Daddy even got me a swans beanie and got William a blow up hand thingy.

To get to the Oylimpic Stadium, we caught two trains for free. I wore my swans scarf and my red jacket to show who I support-because the swans are red and white.

I LOVE my Swans beanie and scarf-I'm wearing it RIGHT NOW!!!

My Dad is the Best Dad in the world, and I love him SO much!!!xxxxx

GUIDES CAMP!!

Hey folks!!!

I recently went on a very FUN Guides Camp for three(ish) days....

Because there wasn't just our unit, we did lots of fun activities based on countries. In Africa I made some drums and a doll, tasted some food and played games, in Northen Hemisphere we made dreamcatchers and went iceblocking (weeeeeee!!!). In Europe we listened to some traditional music and made tamborines.

We slept in a tent between the 7 of us, made heaps of noise, didn't get to sleep until very late and ate HEAPS of lollies!!! We cooked most of our dinners- and for one night we wrapped damper around a sausage and toasted it,and then had a banana with chocolate. It was VERY cold at night, but fun!!!

Then one night we had a BIG campfire with heaps of other Guides-and toasted marshmellows, not to mention singing cheerful songs!!!

A special thanks to Mummy and Daddy for letting me go, and paying for it...

Sorry, got to go and feed Charlie, he's meowing like crazy!!!

In Sydney

Yesterday we went to Sydney-and it was SO much fun!
We did all sorts, like going on a boat, having McDonald's for tea, had an ice-cream and there was even this fare thing going on-which was soooo cool!
We even walked the Harbour Bridge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom's birthday was yesterday!!!
He was basically screaming ALL day...and maybe even at night too (I'm kidding about the night part!)!

NEW HOUSE!!!

WE'VE GOT A NEW HOUSE!!!
I can't believe it, we've bought our very own house-and we're moving into it in 2 weeks time!
The house is gorgeous, its got:
-2 gardens
-3 bedrooms (but we're gonna change one of the bathrooms into a bedroom)
-2 bathrooms
-A study
-A veggie patch
-Fruit trees
-A garage
-A kitchen
-A laundry
-A living room

And heaps of stuff!

NEW HOUSE!!!

Year 5 camp!!!

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't been on here for a while....but I'll try and do it more often.
Last week I went on a camp for year 5 only-and it was heaps of fun-and when I say heaps I mean HEAPS!!!

On camp we:
-Did BMX
-Some of us did abseiling
-Went swimming
-Made damper
-This thing called Mission Impossible
-Stayed in a cabin one night, a tent another night
-Learnt about God
-Did compassing/orienteering

The ingredients we used in damper were:
-Sugar
-Salt
-Flour
-Water
-Syrup/honey to trickle over the damper at the end.
We were given a piece of doe to wrap round a stick, then toasted in a big fire.

Mission Impossible was....well....IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Australia Day

Hi Folks!

A couple of days ago it was Australia Day- and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!

We put tattoos ALL over our faces-and Mummy and I painted our nails yellow and green.

The fireworks were JUST WONDERFUL!

I saw a few familiar faces there.

Also, in the morning of Australia Day, we had to get up REALLY early for me to go to this guides ceremony-and I'm in the news paper!!!

First day of school today, it was GREAT!

Reptile Park

The other day we went to the Australian Reptile Park with our second cousins and their mum.

The crocs were SO funny, cool-and scary!

There was these AWESOME bright green snakes and frogs-COOL!

Hello Ladies!

Last night I slept at a friends house-a picture right here!

We watched a film called Old Dogs-very good...I reccomend it!

Also the other day I got my new school uniform-it's blue-and the summer dress looks almost exactly the same as Oakhill Primary School-the best school in the world!

Flower

On the way to our lovely holiday,we saw a gigantic flower! Want to see? well....here it is!

Dolls

On one of the days on holiday Mummy took me to a China doll museum...I got a few dolls there!

Another day Daddy gave us FIVE DOLLARS each, to spend on lollies at the reception!

These are the pretty dolls I got, called Heather, Juliett and Nixie.

Holiday

The holiday was FAB!!!!! There were two pools, a kids club, a tennis court, a cafe and SO much more!!!

William and I made loads of friends-mine called:Taleya, Sarah, Jessica, Danielle, and Debrah.

It was soooo fun-with a gourgeus beach right next door!

We had a trivia night-with dancing and stuff-and we won one the contests!

AH....that's scary!

Yesterday William bought a GIGANTIC, remote-control spider...he scared Tom with it-along with some passing people...really(!)it's rather scary!
So...whatch out when you next meet William Grant, he might try to scare you...there are only a few ways to know if the spider is real or not:
-William would be around
-Someone would be holding a remote
-Two of it's legs would be lost(though we're trying to glue the legs back on!)
-The spider's fur would sort of shine unnaturally.
-Many other ways!

HOLIDAY!!!

Hello! Gosh...I'm SO excited...we're going on holiday TOMORROW!!!
So sorry, I won't be able to do this blog for a week, but, no worries, I'll update it as soon as we get back! We're going to be staying in a hotel-with a pool-and there is a massage place so Mummy can get her massage!

Cinema

Today we might go to the Cinema! William would like to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, but I don't mind what we watch. I'll tell you all about it if we go.

Movie

Have you seen Pride and Pretidjuce? It's BRILLIANT! I watched it with Mummy yesterday...while she was doing my hair.
